Nadia is 16 years old and wants to understand the root of our biggest problems as a society: corruption, racial discrimination, homophobia, environmental pollution, bullying, etc. Along with Manuel, they conduct social experiments, interviews and skits to get an answer and think about possible solutions.
From the beginning, when I had to convince my boss to do a program like this, until the end, when we premiered on national television, “¿Por qué somos así?” was always a complex project. The issues were complex, the times were complex, and, of course, the budget was "complex." And let's not forget a mild global pandemic in between as well.
With a lot of work and effort, we carried out a 13-episode season, transmedia publications and a launching campaign. It was the most difficult project of my professional life, but was worth every minute.
