We created a TV segment with 3 pre-school contents produced by Canal IPe (Pirito and Arawak, Ciudad Jardín and Aprendiendo) dubbed into different indigenous languages, as well as trivia and capsules to learn basic concepts in Quechua, Asháninka and Aymara.
We produced this segment with 2 objectives:
1. Making it possible for Peruvian children who do not speak Spanish as their native language to see themselves represented on TV and digital media.
2. Letting more Spanish speaking people to hear and appreciate these languages a little better.
Pirito y Arawak is an animated series for preschool children that takes place in the Amazon of Perú. It was dubbed into Spanish and Asháninka, and deals with managing our emotions.
Ciudad Jardín is a co-production of Canal Ipe and Polirama, originally recorded in Spanish, and dubbed into Quechua for this segment. It is also aimed to a preschool audience, and deals with caring for the environment and the responsible use of natural resources.
Aprendiendo is a production of the Digital Area of Canal Ipe and is aimed to the whole family. The idea is to teach basic and everyday concepts in Quechua, Ashaninka and Aymara.
